Introduction<\/h4><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MIKS Pandan Jaya, an extension of MIKS Ampang, is a community-based education centre that started operation in January 2019. It initially caters for children in the vicinity who were not able to attend public school because of their refugee status.
We started with only 8 students from the Myanmarese community and subsequently grew to 64 students in January 2020. These students are from Myanmar, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia.
MIKS is committed to providing successful educational programmes for all learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is built upon 4 pillars of Core Values as follows <\/strong>:

OBJECTIVE<\/strong>
\u2022 To provide children with a place to receive proper education where they can socialise in diversified community.
\u2022 To encourage children to finish school and become self sufficient
\u2022 To develop effective communicators through verbal and written forms of communication
\u2022 To foster cultural knowledge and understanding for successful integration to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EDUCATION PROGRAMMES<\/strong>
\u2022 Preschool and Kindergarten<\/strong>
Early childhood education for students between 4-6 years of age. The programme includes English Phonics, Mathematics, Science, Reading and Art in preparation for Primary education. Our teachers are familiar with the use of educational tools and manipulatives in the lessons for visual and kineasthetic learners.
\u2022 Primary Homeschool<\/strong>
Grade 1 to Grade 7 subjects \u2013 English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Literature.
Teachers incorporate the concept of 6C\u2019s of education \u2013 Character First, Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and problem solving, Communication, Caring in our lessons.
\u2022 IGCSE<\/strong>
Students can choose to continue with IGCSE subjects after grade 7 or Technical and Vocational programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
